DATA REVIEW

Who: Grade level Teams, Principal, Psych, Title, SpEd, Coach, RtI Coordinator, Counselor What: Review DIBELS/MAP scores When: 3x per year Purpose:  Are we meeting 80% of learner needs in gen ed curriculum? *  Identify students at risk or discrepant  Match group need to instruction * Where the answer is “No” address at grade, building and district level through curriculum development, alignment, etc.

Grade Level Meetings

Who: Grade level Team, Principal, What: Identify how to address curricular and instructional gaps When: IDEALLY--weekly Purpose: • Collegial discussion regarding students and instruction • Determine unit learning targets, establish common ideas • Collaborate on intervention block instruction • Collaborative lesson design and planning

aka: periodic review of student progress Who: Grade level Team, Principal, Title, Psych, Interventionists, RtI Coordinator What: Review intervention data kept by interventionist (strategic monitoring) When: Every 4-6 weeks Purpose: • Determine if the children are making enough progress If yes, then leave the child/program, as is If no, then continue, and adjust or add more.

Who: Child’s Teacher, Principal, Title, Psych, Interventionists, RtI Coordinator, Special Ed Teacher, Diagnostician, Parent/Guardian What: Examine an individual child’s specific learning needs in depth since the child is not making adequate progress This is when the Initial Referral Form is Forms: Initial Consultation Form completed prior to meeting Data Sheet completed prior to meeting RtI Plan development form will be created at the IPS meeting When: Every 4-6 weeks Purpose: Increase intensity of intervention Make adjustments Make further decisions regarding need for data,

Individual Problem Solving Meeting

Who: Child’s Teacher, Principal, Title, Psych, Interventionists, RtI Coordinator, Special Ed Teacher, Diagnostician, Parent/Guardian What: Examine an individual child’s specific learning needs in depth since the child is not making adequate progress When: Every 4-6 weeks Purpose: Increase intensity of intervention Make adjustments Make further decisions regarding need for data Determine eligibility for special education needs to be considered. At this point, this meeting of is often combined with consent for standardized assessments if needed, special education eligiblity, and IEP development.
