Kayla Gruduski, Sarah Griffie, Meranda Kendall Thesis: The poaching of elephants for their tusks is a problem that is threatening the existence of the endangered species.This problem is controversial because hunters want to make a profit from the tusks, while conservation groups believe it is an inhumane act to the innocent elephants. By spreading the word about these troubled elephants in need of help, we can raise awareness that can help put an end to this problem Introduction: Elephant poaching is an issue because it is putting the elephants at risk of extinction. If this controversial act continues to happen then the elephant population will continue to decline until extinction. This coul have major effects on the environmental food chains that elephants are apart of.
