Patient Safety Heroes
The K-HEN Patient Safety Heroes are individuals (or
teams of individuals) who have performed at a high
level of accountability and have been instrumental in
one or more of the following areas:
1. Uncovered new methods of QI and safety
2. Trained staff members on the importance of patient
safety
3. Prevented harm for a patient at risk
4. Other improvement activities that deserve
recognition.

barriers and work through quality improvement
strategies.
