BACKGROUND
 Goal is network of high ease of use bicycle routes.
+ Bicycles are fast and convenient alternate to car commuting for
moderate distances (less than 5 miles) in urban areas.
+ Cycling already popular in high ease of use, LSU, and Mid City
areas for commuting and recreation.
 Map publicizes existing network of streets and paths.
 Projects address deficiencies (low ease of use) in existing
streets network.
 Sign-marked routes (projects) link existing streets to
facilitate longer distance destinations for casual and
recreational riders.
