Technology Recommendations (cont’d)
 If a lab or classroom plans to administer EOC tests on a wireless
network, make sure the environments have a strong signal and
sufficient bandwidth to provide trouble-free testing.
• Computers should be tested using the EOC Tests compatibility
script.
• This script allows you to check the configuration of each computer
prior to administering the tests.
25
School-level Test Preparation
• Check computers to ensure sound devices are enabled (not muted)
and the volume is set at a medium level.
• Ensure that lab/classroom computers are configured to minimize
cheating.
− Use visual barriers to prevent students from viewing other students’
computer screens.
− Locate computers so a student cannot view another student’s monitor
from behind.
• Ensure that each lab/classroom has a place to post important
information.
– The daily access code
– Instructions for how to properly exit a test session
• Relocate power strips in the labs/classrooms so they cannot be
easily “tripped” by students kicking them during testing.
