Dear Parent:
The Kara Project will host its first Mathematics Skill
Building Camp at the Mt. Zion Outreach Center in Statesboro,
Georgia. This will be a Free two –week camp for African
American Boys who have completed or are rising 4th or 5th
graders. Facilitators/teachers will be members of Black
Women of Profession (BWOP) and the family and friends of
Kara. The curriculum will be based on the skills needed for
each elementary grade level and below.
Individual attention will be given to each participant so that
strengths and weaknesses can be identified. Strengths will be
celebrated and weaknesses will be come strengths.
Please distribute the enclosed flyers to members. Encourage
all to invite any parents of 4th or 5th grade boys to enroll their
