The Fractal Vortex of Learning A Project to Demonstrate Your Learning
Measure ACCURATELY! • Measure 3 inch increments, 6 times, for a total of 18 inches. Then measure off ½ of an inch.
• Do this 3 times, starting at the same edge.
• Connect your “marks” to make 7 parallel lines.
On
ODD
Numbered Lines • Including the beginning edge, and on all odd numbered parallel lines, measure up 3 inches, twice.
On
EVEN
Numbered Lines: • Measure off 1.5 inches, then 3 inches, and 3 inches again.
Connect the Diagonals • All the hash-marks form diagonals, so draw them all in. Be sure to use a Straight-edge!
Connect MORE Diagonals! • Now connect the diagonals going in the opposite direction.
Cut Off the “EXTRA”
Cut off the section to the right of the ½ inch strip, and along the edges of the TOP triangles.
FOLD Everything!
• Start at an edge and crease along the line to fold all vertical and diagonal lines. • NOTE: Do not try to pinch from both ends; start at one end and crease your way to the other end
Bend and Snake • Bend toward the written side.
• Put the extra ½ triangles INSIDE the whole triangles and fold into a snake.
• Snip off the corners of the ½ inch tabs to fit it inside the other end.
