Ingress Gate turn ON upstream channel only when Cable modem is transmitting.
Ingress Gate keeps all other upstream paths closed, therefore only one path at a time can transmit a signal to CMTS.

1. “Ingress gate control” turns upstream amplifier ON & OFF by controlling power of amplifier.
2. Ingress gate operation controlled and synchronized by cable modem.
3. When modem is active upstream amplifier is turned ON.
Result : Upstream RF pass to the network ONLY when Modem is active.

Combine two frequencies and measure noise level by Spectrum Analyzer.
