Detail Stuff
Grades
• 55% of grade is tests
and essays
• 35% of grade is daily
work that is checked for
correctness
• 10% is homework and
“participation” grades.
• THERE IS NO EXTRA
CREDIT.
Lateness
Late Work
• Every day late your grade
drops 10 points. This
INCLUDES turning in an
assignment the same day it
was collected if it is AFTER I
have collected the class’s
paper.
• Work more than 4 days late
is NOT ACCEPTED! Period.
Late to Class
• Freshmen have no bells. I
stand in the hall, and I enter
class when the clock rolls
over to start time. If you are
not in class, then you are
late. If you are late (without
a legitimate excuse –
teacher note, etc.), you get
a write-up. Period.
Discipline
• If you are late, or you continue to break a rule
after one warning, or you do something
blatantly offensive, I will write you up. No
matter how cute you are.
Homework
• Please do one of the following for class
tomorrow:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Master Kung Fu.
Switch religions for a day.
Wear a fake mustache for 24 hours.
End world hunger.
Find your nemesis, earn their trust, then vanquish
them (preferably with magic).
6. In the shower, use conditioner first, then shampoo
just to see what happens. (I’m curious).
No but seriously…
• Your homework is to get your syllabus signed.
I want it back by Friday. It will be your first
grade.
