situations where
pulley diameters are
as much as 25%
smaller than the
recommended size.
• Angled splice
distributes tension
over a greater belt
area.

smoothly over pulleys

• Costs substantially
less than a
vulcanized splice.
• Quicker to install than
a vulcanized splice
and can be installed
by your own

Wedlok® High Tension Splice
• Use standard Flexco
Bolt Solid Plate
fasteners to repair
belt edge tears and
holes.
• Three-bolt Rip Plate
fasteners can be
used to bridge ‘soft’
spots.
• For jagged lengthwise tears, standard
fasteners can be
combined with threebolt Rip Plate
fasteners.

Rip Repair
• When belt top covers
are 4.8mm (3/16”) or
more, we recommend
countersinking
(recessing) fasteners.
• Provides deeper
penetration of
fastener teeth into the
carcass.
• Reduces fastener
exposure and
extends splice life.
• Reduces noise on
return idlers.
• Smaller fasteners
may be used in
applications with
smaller pulley
diameters.
