 Small
Business Reauthorization Act of 1997
Established HUBZones with SBA oversight on March
22, 1999
 FY 2001 – All Federal agencies must factor into their
contracting plans, annual goals established for the
HUBZone Program with 2% to start.
 FY 2001 – More than 3,000 firms have obtained
HUBZone certification
 FY 2003 – Total Federal prime contract awards goals
are increased to 3% for HUBZone firms.


Development Corporation or Indian Tribe

At least 35% of employees live in a HUBZone – Does not
