Complete the ‘First Time Login’ to BSCP

Log On to BSCP for the First Time
The following items are covered in this segment.
•
Access to BSCP is controlled by Exostar’s Managed Access Gateway (MAG).
•
When you register with Exostar, your login credentials are sent to you by email.
•
You must complete the ‘first time login’ procedure in order to get started.
•
If you are the administrator for your company, you will also need to agree to the service
agreement.

First Time Login – Email from Exostar
•
You will receive an email from ‘Exostar Administrators’
•
The email contains your User ID and two passwords that are used for first time login

First Time Login Process
A. Go to www.myexostar.com
B. Click on the ‘Exostar’ login button in the top right corner of the screen

C. On the MAG login page, click on the ‘First Time Login’ icon (you only need to do this the
first time that you log in)

Fill In User ID and Passwords
D. Enter your user ID and system-generated password from the email that you received.
E. Enter the one time password that you received from your administrator

Enter a New Password
G. Enter a new password – this will be your login password going forward

Password Requirements:
Must be more than 8 and less than 12 characters
Must include at least one number, one letter and one special character
Cannot include the same character (letter or number) more than four times

Password Reset Questions
I.
Provide answers to four of the password reset questions. You will be asked to provide the
same answers if you want to use the automated process to reset your password.
Note: Answers are case sensitive if you have to provide them in the future.
J. Click Submit – you will be redirected to a ‘Login Successful’ screen and then to the home
tab in MAG.

Service Agreement
•
Once you are on the home tab in MAG, you will see ‘open application’ (which means you
are ready to work in BSCP by clicking the link), or you will see ‘View Service Agreement’.
•
A user with the administrator role must accept the agreement one time, then all users will
have access to BSCP.
A. Click on ‘View Service Agreement’ and then select ‘I Agree’ at the bottom of the
agreement. A copy of the agreement will be mailed to you.

Standard Login Process
The daily management/standard login is covered in this section.
A. Go to www.myexostar.com
B. Click on the ‘Exostar’ login button in the top right corner of the screen

C. On the MAG login page, enter the user ID that you received in the welcome email, and the
password that you created during the first time login process.

Note: If you ever forget your login ID or password, click on the links(E). See help file ‘Reset Your Password’.

Choose to Access ‘Supply Chain Platform – Boeing’
F. Click on the ‘Open Application’ link for Supply Chain Platform – Boeing. You will be
redirected into the BSCP application.
Note: If you have data in the old general SCP site, you can still access data there as ‘view only’.

BSCP Login – Terms and Conditions
To access BSCP, you must agree to the terms and conditions every time you log in. The terms
and conditions are related to working with purchase orders. This ‘agree’ action shows that you
understand that for Boeing change orders, your response to the most recent version of the
order will automatically include an acknowledgement of all previous change orders.

• Home – not used
• My Workspace – use dashboard to view status, issues and alerts
• Inbox Status – access and monitor status of upload and download

• Exceptions – links to critical events or information in the system
• Supply Planning – search for Forecasts and Long Term Forecasts
• Order Management – search for Discrete Orders, Shipments and
Invoices
• Master Data – not used
• Upload/Download - upload and download Order, Shipment and
Invoice data,

- download Forecast data in Excel or CSV format

•
From My Workspace, you can quickly drill down to more details:
1. In the Total column, click the number for the item that you want

Navigation Path
•
Expand/Hide Navigation Tree
1. Slide the expansion bar to increase or decrease the width of the navigation tree
section on the screen
•
Navigation History Path
2. As you navigate the system, it displays your navigation history as a selectable
pathway. You can click on any section of the navigation path to immediately display
that page; however, the path will not always accurately reflect all workflows.
Tip: Use the navigation path instead of your browser’s “back” button.

Work with Lists
When presented with a list from which to select items:
1. Select All checkbox – selects all the items in a list (on that page)
2. Sort Order icon – switches between Ascending and Descending sort order for a
column, number indicates the sort order by column (set with ‘Configure’ function)
3. Configure icon – allows a user to customize their view of columns by selecting
which columns to display, and in what order
4. Previous and Next Page – navigates through multiple pages, or enter a page
number and click the Jump button (use dropdown to change records per page)

View a Details Page
The ‘Details’ page has a header section and line items.
1. Buttons below the header apply to the Header and all the line items
2. Buttons below the line items apply only to the selected line items
3. Scroll right to see additional details
4. Click blue text to see additional information

Commonly Used Icons
Calendar – accesses a pop-up calendar for quickly selecting a date.
Expand/Contract Table Columns – drag-and-drop feature that expands and
contracts the data columns on the MCV page (for Forecasts).
Refresh – prompts the system to refresh page data (use after you designate new
display parameters or to see if there is new data).
Sort Order – indicates the sort order of a series of columns on a page. Clicking the
icon selects between ascending and descending order for the column.
Configure – accesses the Table Configure dialog box where you can select the data
fields to display and their sort order.

Commonly Used Icons
Collab Details – displays a menu of collaboration-related workflows, including Collab
Attributes, that you can select to view from the MCV page
Data Measure Selector – accesses the Data Measure Selector dialog box where you
can configure the data measures that the MCV page displays
Export – exports the data on the page to a local drive, in a tab-delimited text format
Trash – allows you to delete a selected item

To locate a document, you can:

Use the My Workspace links (by status)

Use Summary Pages
•
Summary pages are available for Orders, Shipments and Invoices (A).
•
Summary Pages allow a user to:
(B) Enter search criteria, and
(C) See the search results listed by Status.
(D) Click a ‘Number’ link for a Status, to see a list of documents.

Note: (E) For Orders, there is a Header
Summary tab that shows results at the
document level. All other results from
Summary pages are at the line level.

Note: (B) A general search will yield
1000+ lines. A user cannot click on the
1000+ link, the results are too big.
Adding detail to the search criteria will
reduce the number of results.

Search Tools and Parameters

The asterisk * may be used as a “wildcard” to enhance search in many instances

Use the comma (,) and no spaces to separate multiple items for which you want to search.
TIP : Searching is case sensitive only
when searching for Forecasts or Long
Term Forecasts.

Save Search Criteria
A. At the Search page or Summary page, click Save to open the Filter Criteria window
B. Enter a Name for the saved criteria
C. Click New to add new search criteria or Save As to update an existing Search

Apply a Saved Search
The next time you access a Search or Summary page:
E. From the pull down menu, click on the Name of a saved search (screen auto-refreshes)
F. (Optional) Enter more search criteria to refine the search

Set Up Search Defaults
A. Search Default – assigning this default will apply that saved search criteria every time
the Search or Summary page is accessed (it can be edited)
B. Click on a trashcan icon to delete a saved search

Note: Saved searches are only visible for the user and user role that created the
saved search.

Set Up Personal Preferences
•
Each user can change how the screens look in BSCP
•
Changes affect only that user and user role and can be updated any time
•
Examples of ways to customize BSCP:
> First page you see when you log in
> Turn on/off email alerts
> Sections on the My Workspace page
> Columns showing on list pages and in what order
> How data sorts on list pages
> Data fields showing at the top or bottom of the details pages
Setting up your screens is easy, and makes it easier to work in BSCP!

Change First Page Upon Login
A. On the navigation tree, click on My Profile  Change Home Page
B. In the right (main) section, select the page that you want to see as the first page when
you login to BSCP. The current home page will be highlighted in yellow and can be
changed at any time.

Turn On/Off Email Alerts
Email alert notifications are all turned on by default. If you do not wish to receive emails,
you need to turn them off under the ‘My Profile’ preferences.
A. On the navigation tree, click on My Profile  Email Alert Subscription
B. In the ‘Subscribe’ column, uncheck the email alerts that you no longer want to receive.
The email alerts are set up per user, but you will see alerts for all transactions within
your supplier account.
C. When finished, click the Update button.
Your settings can be changed at any time by following this same process.

Set Up My Workspace
There are two options for customizing the My Workspace page:
1. Use the Configure icon to show or hide sections and states of information
2. Use the Filter icon to only display counts that match filtering criteria that you set up

Set Up My Workspace – Configure Option
A. Click on the Configure icon.
B. Uncheck any items that you want to remove from view on My Workspace (unselecting
all boxes will remove the entire section from view).
C. Scroll to the bottom and click Update Preferences.

B. Enter criteria to be used for the filter.

Configuration on List Pages
A. To modify the layout of information on a list page, click on the Configure icon.
•
You can remove or add columns or reconfigure the columns (the three columns of data
on the left cannot be removed from view or rearranged).
•
The order in which the data sorts down the page can also be customized (1). For
example, you can change this page to sort first by ‘Schedule Last Modified’, then by
‘Order Number’ and then by ‘Line ID’ etc.

Configuration on Details Pages
A. To modify the layout of information on a details page, click on the Configure icon.
• Data fields at the header (top) section of the page can be removed from view and resorted.
• The line items (bottom) section can be customized in the same way as a list page (to hide
or show columns, change their order and sort the data).

Configure Header Level Section - Process
After selecting the Configure icon for the header section, you will see this pop-up window.
B. To remove columns or data fields from view for the page, select data fields in the right column and
use the left arrow to move them to the left column.
C. Use the up and down arrows to change the order of data for the page. Data will move top-tobottom (header sections) or left-to-right (columns).

Configure Line Level Section - Process
After selecting the Configure icon for the line level section, you will see this pop-up window.
B. To remove columns or data fields from view for the page, select data fields in the middle column and
use the left arrow to move them to the Available columns’ section.
C. Use the up and down arrows to change the order of data for the page. Data will move top-to-bottom
(header sections) or left-to-right (columns).

Supplier User Roles

Supplier User Roles in BSCP

There are four user roles available for supplier users. See the ‘Shipments’ training for
more details on how to assign the Shipper role.
At least one user must have the administrator role.
There can be more than one administrator.

‘Read-only’ access to all workflows, with ‘Read/Write’ access on Shipments (to create
and update ASN per state transition rules)

Role has visibility to all other transactions, but no ‘Write’ permission for any of them
