• The Ganges river delta is located in southern
Bangladesh. It flows into the Bay of Bengal.
The delta actually begins when the Ganges
and the Brahmaputra meet.

• The delta is located on the intersection of the
Indian, Burma, and Eurasian tectonic plates. It
has very fertile land, which is used to grow
rice amongst other crops. The city of
Chittagong lies on the Ganges delta. The land
surrounding it is prone to hurricanes & floods.

The waters of this river are shared by
China, India, and Bangladesh. The
water is important for irrigation and
agriculture in India. It’s periodic
flooding helps to improve the fertility
of the soil and maintain life there.
• The Brahmaputra is a river that
is prone to flooding in spring
when the Himalayan snows melt
• The Brahmaputra flows some
1,800 miles from it’s source, the
Himalayas

The K2 Mountain
• The K2
Mountain

• K2 is the world’s second largest mountain. It was
previously thought as the first largest until we gained
some more technology. It’s also currently being
administrated by the Pakistanis. Godwin-Austen is
another name for it, and a nickname for it is Savage
Mountain. This nickname was given because it has the
second-highest fatality rate “among the eight
thousanders”. It has a peak elevation of 28,251 feet,
which is 5.35 miles high. Every one and four people die
from trying to climb it.

Great Indian desert
• the Great Indian Desert, is an enormous
desert of burning hot sand which spreads over
parts of Western India and Eastern Pakistan.
The arid region extends in an area which is
800 km long and 400 km wide. The desert is
bordered by Indus and Sutlej rivers in the west
and by the Aravallis in the east.

the western half of the
mountains an example would
