Empire, Michigan.

Shore dose not allow cutting down
trees but you can hunt during
hunting season but not bars.

• Sleeping bear dunes is all sand and
trees and hill’s.
Climate
• Sleeping Bear Dunes climate
on summer days is in the 70’s90’s with lows typically in the
50’s-70’s
Plants & Animals
• Amphibians: tree frogs and snakes.
• Birds :wood thrush and peeping
plovers.
• Fish: Coho salmon.
• Mammals: white tilled deer rabbit
squirrel.
• Plants: ferns & wild flowers &greisens
History
• The Sleeping Bear Dunes
National Lakeshore is rich in
history from early native
cultures to the shipping,
logging and agriculture of the
area.

• Bicycling, climbing dunes, fishing,
tour, hiking, canoeing, scuba
diving, swimming, snowmobiling,
tubing, skiing.
