Creating and Using Edusoft
Tests
There are three reasons why using
Edusoft is like riding a bike.
Creating and Using Edusoft
Tests
1. Some people make it look really easy.
2. You can’t just explain it in words. You
have to get on the bike and try it.

Tests
3. The learning curve can be a little difficult!

Tests
Hopefully I can make the curve a bit easier.
One of the easiest ways to make a test is to use one
you’ve already created.
Go to www.edusoft.com, type in your login and password,
then go to Teacher Tools, then Assessments.
When you click Assessments, you will get this screen.
Click My Tests, then Align an Existing Test.
Notice the next screen now says Align a Test instead of
Assessments. Click CONTINUE at the bottom.
Enter a name for the test, and give a general description,
such as the test date, or further information. Then click
CONTINUE. You can leave the Standards Group on the
default.
On the next screen, you must choose a standards
subject category from the pull-down menu, and then...
…choose a grade-level category and click CONTINUE.
The next screen will show you all the standards for the
subject and grade level you chose. Check the standards
that will apply to this test. You MUST pick at least ONE.
Then click CONTINUE.
For this sample test on the Six Traits, I chose four
language arts standards. Click CONTINUE.
Remember, I just want to create a scantron sheet
for a multiple choice test (10 questions) that I will
hand out to the students.
So on the next screen, I choose # of question: 10, leave 4
as the default for multiple choice, and I want to make each
question worth 5 points. Then Click CONTINUE.
On the next screen, click the correct answer for each question on your
test. You MUST also align each question with one of the standards you
chose in the beginning. Then click SAVE & FINISH.
The last screen gives you the option to edit the test. If it is correct, there
is no CONTINUE. When finished, click the Back button on the top left
to get back to your folders.
To print the scantron sheets, click My Tests, and click the name of your
new test on the right. Then click PRINT ANSWER SHEETS..
Select the class that will receive this test, then click view.
On the next screen, click View test.
Edusoft will generate a PDF scantron that you can print and give
to your students. When you scan in their bubbled answers, their
grades will be recorded in your Reports.
You can then click Return and go back to your folders (called your
assessment locker).
Creating and Using
Edusoft Tests
It’s as easy as riding a bike!
Watch for other PowerPoints to be posted
on the District/Staff/Technology Webpage
on how to create shared tests, and how to
view reports.
