“Because the heart beats under a covering of hair, of fur,
feathers, or wings, it is, for that reason, to be of no account?”
Jean Paul Richter
"The soul is the same in all living creatures, although the body
of each is different.“ Hippocrates
“Deliberate cruelty to our defenceless and beautiful little
cousins is surely one of the meanest and most detestable vices
of which a human being can be guilty” William Ralph Inge
"All beings tremble before violence. All fear death, all
love life. See yourself in others. Then whom can you
hurt? What harm can you do?“ Buddha
"One day the absurdity of the almost universal human
belief in the slavery of other animals will be palpable.
We shall then have discovered our souls and become
worthier of sharing this planet with them“ Martin Luther
King Jr
“All the arguments to prove man's superiority cannot
shatter this hard fact: in suffering the animals are
our equals.“ Peter Singer
MILLIONS OF FUR-BEARING ANIMALS INCLUDING FOXES,
RACCOONS, MINKS, COYOTES, BOBCATS, LYNXES,
OPPOSUMS, NUTRIA, BEAVERS, MUSKRATS, OTTERS AND
OTHERS ARE KILLED EACH YEAR ON FUR FARMS BY ANAL
AND VAGINAL ELECTROCUTION, AND IN THE WILD BY
DROWNING, TRAPPING AND BEATING.
ANIMALS CAN LANGUISH IN TRAPS FOR DAYS. UP TO 1 OUT
OF EVERY 4 TRAPPED ANIMALS ESCAPES BY CHEWING OFF
HIS OR HER OWN FEET, ONLY TO DIE LATER FROM BLOOD
LOSS, FEVER, PREDATION.
TO KILL THE ANIMALS WITHOUT DAMAGING THEIR FUR,
TRAPPERS USUALLY STRANGLE, BEAT OR STOMP THEM TO
DEATH. ANIMALS ON FUR FARMS MAY BE GASSED,
ELECTROCUTED, POISONED WITH STRYCHNINE, OR HAVE
THEIR NECKS SNAPPED. THESE METHODS ARE NOT 100
PERCENT EFFECTIVE AND SOME ANIMALS ‘WAKE UP’
WHILE BEING SKINNED.
You wouldn’t club this, would you?
How come you allow this to be
clubbed, then?
BABY SEALS ARE REPEATEDLY CLUBBED ON THE HEAD UNTIL
THEY BLEED TO DEATH. THEIR SKINNED BODIES ARE LEFT TO
ROT IN PILES, WITHOUT EVEN BEING USED FOR THEIR MEAT.
SHAME TO THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT THAT REFUSED TO
MAKE THE SEAL HUNTING ILLEGAL!
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have
repeatedly contacted Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce Knowles
and Madonna sending them information packs, photos,
videos and complaints about their fur obsessions.
THEY HAVE REFUSED TO STOP WEARING IT.
LOPEZ HAS BEEN REPETEADLY ASKED BY VARIOUS ANIMAL
ORGANIZATIONS AND MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO
EXCLUDE REAL FUR FROM HER FASHION LINE AND STOP
WEARING IT
.THROUGH THE YEARS SHE HAS WORN THE SKINS OF EVERY
POSSIBLE ANIMAL YOU CAN IMAGINE, ALTHOUGH SHE HAS
BEEN SENT PHOTOS AND VIDEO FOOTAGE.
SHE HAS BEEN IGNORING THE CHARITIES ON PURPOSE, AND HAS
SHOWN AN IMPRESSIVE DISREGARD FOR THE PUBLIC.
latinalista.blogspot.com/2005/09/jlos-latest-fur-battle-shows-disregard.html.
She is currently considered to be the most
notorious fur-wearer in the show-biz, along
with Beyonce Knowles.
When asked what
she thought about
animal-right
organizations
protesting, she
replied ‘I don’t
think about it at
all’
• PETA has even released a video game where you gather points
by saving animals from her hands: www.furisdead.com/featmonsterinfur.asp
• Beyonce was sent
videos, polite letters
and PETA even
published a personal
full-page open letter
to her in Billboard
magazine.
• Finally, two members
won an EBay auction to
have dinner with her.
So they met her, along
with her sister and
mother (who is the
dreadful ‘inspiration’
and cause for her
tacky fur-line)
• The charity members
asked her : “Beyoncé,
many of your fans would
like to know why you don’t
care about how minks,
foxes, and chinchillas are
gassed, strangled, and
electrocuted for vanity
and if you might have it in
your heart to recognize
that fur is not only cheap
and tacky but also
horribly cruel?”
• The members were asked
to leave by security.
Knowles, of course, insists
on wearing fur, despite
the amazing volume of
hate mail her record
company received.
Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowles are currently
consciously promoting a ‘fashion’, that involves that
little animals like these:
And these:
End up like this:
And this:
And this:
Madonna’s ‘luxurious’ chinchilla
fur coat required that 40 of
these:
Had to become like this:
How DARE WE find excuses for
this:
How DARE WE PROFIT from
this:
How DARE WE JUSTIFY this:
Oh yeah, it provides JOBS for
people all right!
It brings food to many plates,
all right!
To the people that made these
GREEDY AND ILLITERATE
MONSTERS rich and still
SHAMELESSLY defend them:
Ugly people with no hearts and
lust for the buck that some
have the nerve to worship:
• So, to the people that will shamelessly try to
defend the fur traders, the fur wearers, and
the killers
• To those that think that they are the
‘superior’ beings on this planet
• And to the ones that DARE to ignore animal
right defenders and call them names, like
extremists (the extremists in the name of
humanity have been thousands more):
Here is what
some of those
‘naïve’ animalright supporters
have to reply:
"
• “Shame on such a
morality that fails to
recognize the eternal
essence that exists in
every living thing, and
shines forth with
inscrutable
significance from all
eyes that see the
sun."
• Schopenhauer's
criticism of his fellow
man.
• "For as long as
men massacre
animals, they will
kill each other.
Indeed, he who
sows the seed of
murder and pain
cannot reap joy
and love.“
Pythagoras
• “To insult someone
we call him
"bestial." For
deliberate cruelty
and nature, "human"
might be the greater
insult”.
Isaac Asimov, Isaac
Asimov's Book of
Science and Nature
Quotations, 1988
• “We have enslaved the
rest of the animal
creation, and have
treated our distant
cousins in fur and
feathers so badly that
beyond doubt, if they
were able to formulate
a religion, they would
depict the Devil in
human form”
• William Ralph Inge,
Outspoken Essays,
1922
“Non-violence leads
to the highest
ethics, which is the
goal of all
evolution. Until we
stop harming all
other living beings,
we are still
savages”.
Thomas A. Edison
•
“I have been studying the traits
and dispositions of the "lower
animals" (so called) and contrasting
them with the traits and
dispositions of man. I find the
result humiliating to me”. Letters
from the Earth, 1907’
•
“The fact that man knows right
from wrong proves his intellectual
superiority to the other creatures;
but the fact that he can do wrong
proves his moral inferiority to any
creatures that cannot”. What Is
Man, 1906’
•
- "Of all the creatures ever made
he (man) is the most detestable.
He is the only creature that
inflicts pain for sport, knowing it
to be pain."
MARK TWAIN
• “People must have renounced,
it seems to me, all natural
intelligence to dare to
advance that animals are but
animated machines.... It
appears to me, besides, that
[such people] can never have
observed with attention the
character of animals, not to
have distinguished among
them the different voices of
need, of suffering, of joy, of
pain, of love, of anger, and
of all their affections. It
would be very strange that
they should express so well
what they could not feel”.
Voltaire, ‘Traité sur la toleranc’
• “If a group of beings
from another planet
were to land on Earth
- beings who
considered themselves
as superior to you as
you feel yourself to be
to other animals would you concede
them the rights over
you that you assume
over other animals?”
Attributed to George
Bernard Shaw
“The question is
not, "Can they
reason?" nor,
"Can they talk?"
but rather, "Can
they suffer?“
Jeremy Bentham
"A human being is a part of a
whole, called by us *universe*,
a part limited in time and
space. He experiences himself,
his thoughts and feelings as
something separated from the
rest... a kind of optical
delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of
prison for us, restricting us to
our personal desires and to
affection for a few persons
nearest to us. Our task must
be to free ourselves from this
prison by widening our circle of
compassion to embrace all
living creatures and the whole
of nature and its beauty “
Albert Einstein
“The animals of the
world exist for
their own
reasons. They
were not made for
humans any more
than black people
were made for
white, or women
created for men”.
Alice Walker
"The greatness of a nation and its moral
progress can be judged by the way its animals
are treated”.
“A good man is the friend of all living things”
Mahatma Gandhi
