The Town of Fountain Hills & The Universal
Cultural Association Present:
The Chinese Lantern and Folk Festival
CHINESE LANTERN & FOLK FESTIVAL AT
FOUNTAIN HILLS
Fountain Park will be lit up like a New Year’s Celebration, or
should we say a Chinese New Year’s celebration, as Fountain
Hills welcomes the Chinese Lantern & Folk Festival at Fountain
Hills! For the first time in Arizona, Fountain Hills, in partnership
with the Universal Cultural Organization, will host a lantern
display like none other! Designed, built, and shipped across
the world, China has created a unique and impressive lantern
display for all to enjoy. For ten days, Fountain Hills will
display beautifully designed 40-60 foot lanterns in Fountain
Park.
This show coincides with the Chinese New Year
celebrations for the Year of the Horse, creating the perfect
atmosphere for dozens of large, richly-colored and illuminated
silk displays in the shape of animals, characters, flora and
angels. In addition to the lantern displays, the festival will
also include cultural dancing, martial arts demonstrations,
music, children’s games crafts and great food.
