Four Resurrections
1) The Resurrection of Christ
• Life, Death & Resurrection
• Necessary for Our Forgiveness
2) Spiritual/ Moral Resurrection
• New Life in Christ (Rom 6)
• We die to our old way of life (a life of sin), we are raised anew
3) Resurrection of the Righteous
• All true believers will be raised up from the grave
• We will be given new resurrection bodies (I Cor 15:54-55; Rev. 20:11-15)
4) Physical Resurrection
• Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11)
• This miracle served as a sign that identified Jesus as the author of Life
The Resurrection of Lazarus (John 11:1-44)
This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God,
that the Son of God may be glorified. (11:4)
Rabbi, the Jews were just seeking to stone You, and are You going there
again? (11:8)
Lazarus is dead, and I am glad for your sakes that I was not there,
so that you may believe; … (11:14-15)
I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day. (11:24)
I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if
he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. (11:25-26)
Did I not say to you, if you believe, you will see the glory of God?
Exodus 3:13-15
What is His name?
• I AM WHO I AM
• “I AM” has sent me to you
• This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all
generations.
What does God mean by this name?
• Uncreated
• Self-existing
• Eternal God
Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!”
And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you,
and will proclaim the name of the LORD before you; and I will be
gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on
whom I will show compassion.”
But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”
Then the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand
there on the rock; and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that
I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have
passed by. Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My
face shall not be seen.” – Exodus 33:18-23
John 1:14-18
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory,
glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. (1:14)
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. (1:16)
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized
through Jesus Christ. (1:17)
No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the
bosom of the Father, He has explained Him. (1:18)
Seven “I Am” Statements
I AM …
1. The Bread of Life (6:35)
2. The Light of the World (8:12; 9:5)
3. The Door (10:7, 9)
4. The Good Shepherd (10:11)
5. The Resurrection and the Life (11:25-26)
6. The way, the Truth, and the Life (14:6)

What is the Point?
1. The Resurrection & the Life = Eternal Life
2. The “I AM” is showing His glory in Jesus Christ (the Word)
3. Those who believe will see His glory
4. How many times has “I Am” passed by and you missed His glory
because you were stunned and preoccupied by the lesser glory of
something else in this world?
