Curriculum Awareness
Evening 2012
Giving your child the options they need
Our Aim
To
give all students the opportunity to gain
qualifications and experiences that will
maximise their choice of employment,
training or further education at the end of
Year 11.
CORE Curriculum
English
Foreign Language
ICT
Maths
Personal
Development
Physical Education
Religious Education
Science
Optional Curriculum
We
believe that
students should be
offered as free a
choice of options
as possible working
within budgetary
and curriculum
constraints.
Practical Considerations
A small number of option clashes will
make certain combinations of subjects
impossible.
If subjects attract very low numbers of
students they may not run.
Choices must be matched to student
ability and interest.
Promise
We
will work with students to put together
a curriculum that is appropriate in meeting
the needs of the individual.
