What are the blues
 The blues is a type of African
American music usually in the
sequence of 12(hence the
name 12 bar blues). The urban
blues was the start of rhythm
and rock.
 The 12 bar blues is the most
common song from the blues
it consists of chords beingC-cega F-facd G-gbde
This is 12 bar sequence is then
sometimes followed on with a
melody line and finally the 12
bar blues scale which allows you
to add a riff and improvise.
What is slavery?
 To be a slave is to be owned by another person. A
slave is a human being classed as property and who is
forced to work for nothing. An enslaved person is a
human being who is made to be a slave. This language
is often used instead of the word slave, to refer to the
person and their experiences and to avoid the use of
unpleasant language.
Slavery and the blues (how they are
connected)
 The blues where a very important
part of slavery because the white
men used to put them on ships and
sent them to America. Some of
them would die during the journey
so singing was the only thing they
could do.it gave them hope and joy
it was the only happiness that they
would really recive.

The blues today
 Now a days the blues are very
popular to all cultures and skin.
Slavery still does happen in
different parts of the world but
if your out there hold on and
keep singing those blues.
