Impact Eco Challenge
• What is the Impact Eco Challenge?
– An overnight TEAM endurance race
– Teams of 6-8 compete in multiple challenges
while hiking a 20ish mile course
– Teams will be scored on challenges and
overall time on the course
– Challenge stations include rappelling,
orienteering, stealth recon, air-soft, brain
challenge, team challenges and more

• What’s the point?
– The point of the Impact Eco Challenge is:
– To build personal confidence
– To experience and build teamwork
– To gain experiences that will last a lifetime
– To compete in a friendly environment
– To have fun!

• Important Dates:
– 2 training dates (participants must attend at
least 1) March 9th and April 20th
– Team registration deadline April 1st
– Impact Eco Challenge Friday and Saturday
May 1st and 2nd
– Sly Park / Jenkinson Lake

• Walk through of race day Friday
– Team must check in at the campground
Friday morning
– Teams will be positioned for a “shotgun” start
at various places on the course
– Event begins for all teams at the same time
– Teams bed-down at a checkpoint for the night
Impact Eco Challenge
• Walk through of race day Saturday
– Teams will pack-up camp at the same time
– Teams will continue on the course and finish
at the same checkpoint that they started at
– Awards ceremony and dinner to follow

• Teams must be fully self sufficient and
carry everything needed for 2 day event
on your back
• Teams must be 6-8 members with a
minimum of 2 girls
• Teams must provide a chaperone and at
least 1 other volunteer

• Cost is $30 per racer and includes camp
fees, after race dinner, awards and
equipment used at checkpoints
• If you have multiple kids racing each
additional racer is $25
• Parent participation IS required
Impact Eco Challenge
• Checkpoint operation
– Teams will check in at the checkpoint and
must be at the checkpoint for 1 hour
– All items needed to complete the activity will
be at the checkpoint
– Teams will be scored in various categories
including completion of task, teamwork,
attitude, creativity and overall execution
– Teams will also be scored on overall time

• There are both personal and team
equipment requirements
• Please pick up an equipment list before
you leave

• Safety
– There will be 4 (2 teams of 2) safety
personnel on the course
– Everyone is a safety expert! If you see
something that you think is unsafe please
bring it to the attention of an adult

• Hydration
– Drink plenty of fluids in the days leading up to event
– For proper hydration you have to monitor what’s going in
and what’s coming out. So, let’s talk about PEE!
