• Region 4 inspired the Domestic Scan on
Knowledge Management (Utah) and Chaired it
(Arizona)
• WRUCC (Western Road Usage Charging
Consortium Transportation Pooled Fund)
• Validation of Tsunami Guidelines for Coastal
Bridges
(Hawaii; California; Oregon; Alaska; Washington)
RAC 4 Goals
• Increase number of states submitting High
Value Research AND total number of projects.
• Participate in Ahead of the Curve as products
become available.
• Distribute timely and valuable information to
our members.
• Generate better participation in monthly
teleconferences.
RAC 4 Goals
• Transfer of knowledge from National findings
to State DOT target areas.
• More focus on implementation and the
Research role.
• Coordinate State research programming
cycles for project collaboration.
• Survive the 2015 RAC/TRB Annual
Meeting in Portland, Oregon!!
