Celebrate 100 years of Scouting
in the United States.
Participate in the most exciting
event in your Scouting career.
CT Yankee has 11 troops of 36
boys – only 400 spots available
and they are going fast!
How Big Is The
Jamboree?
• 43,000 Scouts, adult leaders,
and staff.
• 900 troops.
• 18,000 tents.
• 3,000 acres of land in Virginia.
• 3,600 patrol kitchens.
It’s That Big!
What Can You Do At The
Jamboree?
• Any merit badge offered by the
BSA.
• SCUBA, sailing, crew racing and
more at the aquatics center.
• Shotgun shooting, motocross
biking, rappelling, a high-adventure
course and more at the action
centers.
• Interactive OA show during the day
and 2 huge arena shows at night.
What Can You Do At The
Jamboree?
• An Army adventure center, a
disability awareness course, a
conservation trail, and many,
many more displays and handson demonstrations.
• Patch trading, patch trading,
and more patch trading.
And that is just some of the things
to do!
How Do You Attend The
Jamboree?
• Scouts attend as part of a troop
made up of 36 boys from our
council.
• Troops have preparation
meetings and attend a preJamboree weekend.
• Troops travel together, camp as
a unit, and eat meals together.
What Does The Jamboree
Cost?
• The cost for each youth is
$1595.00, including a $110
non-refundable deposit.
• A monthly payment plan is
available to spread out the cost.
• Fundraising and other moneysaving options will be available
to help lower the cost.
Can I Attend?
• 12 years of age or finished 6th
grade by July 1, 2010.
• 18th birthday not before
August 3, 2010.
• First class by July, 2010.
• Participate in the pre-Jamboree
weekend.
• Have approval from your
Scoutmaster.
How Do I Apply?
• A parent must register each
youth Scout online.
• You’ll need your BSA ID number
from your membership card or
Scoutmaster.
