Saul and the men of Israel were gathered and camped in the
valley of Elah, and drew up in battle array to encounter the
Philistines. 3 The Philistines stood on the mountain on one
side while Israel stood on the mountain on the other side,
with the valley between them

DAVID FOUGHT FOR THE LORD
•
•
1 Samuel 17:32
All fighting for the Lord was not always done in a physical battle. There are
many great men and women in the Bible who were willing to fight for the
Lord
– Noah fought for the Lord even though he and his family were the only righteous
ones left on the earth (Gen. 6-7)
– Abraham was willing to do what ever the Lord required of him – without question
(Gen. 12 and 22)
Acts

out of the city, supposing him to be dead.
– Peter & John in Acts 4 and 5 fought for the Lord even though the Sanhedrin
warned them not to
– Paul fought for the Lord to the point that he was stoned and left for dead (Acts
14:19)
Heb 11:32-40
And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak,
