Changes to GSM 11.11 (R98 & R99)
 Release 98: Two corrections
 A083r1: adds reference to new text in 11.14 about change
of IMSI via data-download/ SIM toolkit application
(see also CR 11.14-A128r5)
 A084: addition of flag in SIM Service Table to notify ME
that SIM supports AT commands
 Release 99: One new feature
 A085: alignment with ISO/IEC to allow SIM to contain
more than 255 records in a data-field (e.g., 500 ADNs)
 All changes included in Release 99 version 8.0.0

Changes to GSM 11.14 (R98 & R99)
 Release 98: One enhancement and three corrections
 A128r5: change of IMSI via data-download / SIM toolkit
 A140, A141r1 and A142: corrections to Release 98
text in TERMINAL RESPONSE if user did not enter characters
alignment with 02.30 on usage of some functions (now optional)
coding of BCCH channel list aligned with neighbour cell description
information element
 Release 99: Three new features
 all concern PROVIDE LOCAL INFORMATION command
A136: two enhancement on use of languages
A137r1: introduction of RF timing advance
(to be used, for instance, for approximate location calculation)

New Work Items
 SIM Application Toolkit test specification
 postponed to SMG #30
 WAP WAE User Agent /SIM Toolkit interworking
 approved; secondary responsibility with SMG4 / T2
 As part of SMG9´s mandate for ETSI generic IC card
standards the following two WIs were approved:
 Generic logical and physical interface specification
common platform for all ETSI IC cards (GSM, TETRA, UMTS, ...)
new applications can be built on this core to achieve interoperability
this will be based on 3GPP 31.101
 Specification of administrative commands and functions
common set for the administrative phase of IC cards
currently these features are manufacturer dependent
