Phase 1
• NTS data being assembled (design information, transportation
capacities, performance)
• Review meeting on 29 January to finalise with publication planned for
early February
• Data covering relationship between forecast capacity demand,
investment and capacity available assembled
• Review of previous auction process complete
• Information on methodology for application of the Exit Tariff
requested from the Norwegian Group
Phase 2
• Review of January auction process ongoing; definitive results will be
dependent upon the auction results and may not be available until
late March 2003

collected
• Comparison completed and conflicts identified

• Review of specifications within the Gas Supply Management
Regulations underway with Transco and HSE
• Options for processing/blending identified
• Interface with EASEE-GAS gas specifications workgroup established
to appreciate the pan-European dimension

• Comparison of UK and Norwegian Codes of Practice completed
• Comparative table provided to the Norwegian Group

between the two codes can be enhanced

Infrastructure Action Group – Next Steps






Ensure that the scopes of work for the UK and Norwegian
groups address respective areas of concern
Finalise UK and Norwegian groups meeting in early February
Complete ‘infrastructure’ and prior auction process review and
discuss with the Norwegian group as required
Document results of Phase 1 work on R8 and develop high
level costings for the options identified
Work with the Norwegian group on the Codes of Practice
Work with the Norwegian group to obtain a sound
understanding of the methodology for calculating exit tariffs
from the ‘Bubble’
