Apostles Creed
I believe in God the Father
Almighty, maker of heaven
and earth; and in Jesus
Christ his only Son our
Lord;
who was conceived by the
Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered
under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, dead, and
buried;
the third day he rose from
the dead; he ascended
into heaven, and sitteth at
the right hand of God the
Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come
to judge the quick and the
dead. I believe in the Holy
Spirit, the holy Catholic
Church, the communion of
saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the
body and the life
everlasting. Amen.

Let the message about
Christ, in all its richness,
fill your lives. Teach and
counsel each other with
all the wisdom he gives.
Sing psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs to God
with thankful hearts.
(Colossians 3:16 NLT)

Teach these things and
insist that everyone learn
them. Don’t let anyone
think less of you because
you are young.
Be an example to all
believers in what you say,
in the way you live, in
your love, your faith, and
your purity.
Until I get there, focus on
reading the Scriptures to
the church, encouraging
the believers, and
teaching them.
Do not neglect the
spiritual gift you received
through the prophecy
spoken over you when the
elders of the church laid
their hands on you.
(1 Timothy 4:11-14 NLT)

2 Timothy 3:10-17 NLT
But you, Timothy,
certainly know what I
teach, and how I live, and
what my purpose in life is.
You know my faith, my
patience, my love, and my
endurance.
Acts 2 v 42

You know how much
persecution and suffering I
have endured. You know
all about how I was
persecuted in Antioch,
Iconium, and Lystra—but
the Lord rescued me from
all of it.
Yes, and everyone who
wants to live a godly life in
Christ Jesus will suffer
persecution. But evil
people and impostors will
flourish.
They will deceive others
and will themselves be
deceived. But you must
remain faithful to the
things you have been
taught.
You know they are true,
for you know you can trust
those who taught you. You
have been taught the holy
Scriptures from childhood,
and they have given you
the wisdom to receive the
salvation that comes by
trusting in Christ Jesus.
All Scripture is inspired by
God and is useful to teach
us what is true and to
make us realise what is
wrong in our lives.
It corrects us when we are
wrong and teaches us to
do what is right. God uses
it to prepare and equip his
people to do every good
work.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 NLT
I solemnly urge you in the
presence of God and
Christ Jesus, who will
someday judge the living
and the dead when he
comes to set up his
Kingdom: Preach the word
of God. Be prepared,
whether the time is
favourable or not.
Patiently correct, rebuke,
and encourage your
people with good
teaching.
Acts 2 v 42

For a time is coming when
people will no longer
listen to sound and
wholesome teaching. They
will follow their own
desires and will look for
teachers who will tell
them whatever their
itching ears want to hear.
They will reject the truth
and chase after myths.
But you should keep a
clear mind in every
situation. Don’t be afraid
of suffering for the Lord.
Work at telling others the
Good News, and fully carry
out the ministry God has
given you.

Ephesians 4:11-16
Now these are the gifts
Christ gave to the church:
the apostles, the
prophets, the evangelists,
and the pastors and
teachers.
Their responsibility is to
equip God’s people to do
his work and build up the
church, the body of
Christ.
This will continue until we
all come to such unity in
our faith and knowledge of
God’s Son that we will be
mature in the Lord,
measuring up to the full
and complete standard of
Christ.
Then we will no longer be
immature like children.
We won’t be tossed and
blown about by every
wind of new teaching.
We will not be influenced
when people try to trick
us with lies so clever they
sound like the truth.
Instead, we will speak the
truth in love, growing in
every way more and more
like Christ, who is the
head of his body, the
church.
He makes the whole body
fit together perfectly. As
each part does its own
special work, it helps the
other parts grow, so that
the whole body is healthy
and growing and full of
love.
