A direct object is the word in a sentence that
receives the action of the verb. It answers the
questions,
whom? what?
Ejemplo:
Luisa is buying the blouse.
To find the direct object, we ask, “What is Lisa
buying?”
the blouse is the direct object.
In a sentence, the direct object can be a noun
or a pronoun.
Ejemplo:
Luisa is buying the blouse.

Remember that a pronoun replaces a noun.

In Spanish, the direct object noun is after the
conjugated verb. The direct object pronoun is
right before the conjugated verb.

VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:
When an infinitive follows a conjugated
verb, the direct object pronoun can be
placed before the conjugated verb or can
be attached to the infinitive.
Ejemplo:
Quiero comprar zapatos negros.
Los quiero comprar
