Who Can Apply for a Student
Visa?

签证?
Anyone can apply for a student visa.
任何人可以申请留学签证.
However, the applicant must be able
to prove three things:

1.Are you a real student?

2.Can you pay for your education?
3.Do you intend to return to China
after graduation?

Is English required? No!
Help! I can’t speak English. Will my application be
refused? 帮忙! 我不能说英语. 我的申请会被拒签吗?
• Not necessarily. The officer considers whether your I-20 form states that
you will take ESL classes in the U.S.
• 不是必须的. 签证官考虑你的I-20是否说明你将在美国参加语言课程的
学习.
• You are not required to take an English-language exam (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.).
• 不要求你必须参加英语语言考试 (托福, 雅思, 等等)
• However, the consular officer may use this score to gauge whether or not
you are a serious student.
