Small and micro enterprises are one of shortest ways to raise the
standard of living of Egyptian families, and it is also one of the
means of revival of the national economy as in many Asian
countries. Therefore, I did not hesitate to accept the invitation to
attend the press conference that was held in the American
University in Cairo few days ago to celebrate the graduation of 100
Egyptian female entrepreneurs.
Mrs. "Sayeda", talked about her project with enthusiasm, she stated
that she began her project with 20 males and females workers as a
nucleus of a cleaning company. We are proud today that she is the
owner of a company that has a reputable name and comprises 200
workers. She was determined from the beginning of work to
develop her capabilities and skills besides the modernization of her
company; therefore, she did not hesitate to enroll in the training
session and joined a list of 1600 women from 16 governorates to
select one hundred women among them.
Today, Sayeda Ahmed Fouad was one of those who received the
certificate of completion of the Goldman Sachs Program, which is
intending to raise the efficiency of 10,000 female small
entrepreneurs all over the world.
Many females in Egypt can enter in small projects; certain projects
do not invoke the academic level and do not require a big capital.
The most important thing is to know the idea of the good projects
that suit the personal skills, interests, hobbies and that match the
familial life. Many small projects could be implemented at home by
women.
I whisper in the ears of ambitious women “Women who do not own
the food of the day do not own their decision or freedom”.
