Writing Percents as Decimals
Remove the percent symbol. Then divide by 100,
or just move the decimal point two places to the
left.
Example: 23% = 23.% = 0.23
Writing Decimals as Percents
Multiply by 100, or just move the decimal point
two places to the right. Then add a percent
symbol.
Example: 0.36 = 0.36 = 36%
Percent and Fractions
Since percents means per 100, to write p% as a
fraction, use p as the numerator and 100 as a
denominator. Then simplify.
Example:
Write 25% as a fraction
