• Before you can create a user profile, please be sure to have a unique email address • An email address is required to create a profile, apply online, and request Job Interest Cards

• To begin creating a user profile to apply for jobs online go to
www.miamigov.com
• Click on the
Employment
tab at the top of the page • On the left menu navigation click on
Application Login
(the login screen will open in a new window)
• Click on
Create Your Account Here
right beneath the user/password log-in box

• • • • • Select a user name that you can easily remember Enter your email address
(as shown here)
Create a password that is extremely unique and difficult to guess Try to avoid including facts about yourself in your password such as: • Date of Birth • First or Last Name • • Current Address Social Security Number Create a password hint that will help you remember your password if you happen to forget it Click on the button

• • If your username or email is already in use by another subscriber, you will be prompted to enter another UNIQUE username or email address If you are prompted to enter another username or email address, you must enter your password and password hint again
IMPORTANT:
Please write down your username and password in a safe place where you and only you can access it as needed

• Once you’ve saved your information, you will be automatically forwarded to a new screen letting you know that
Your account is now active
• You will then click on the
Create Application
button to begin creating an application for future or current use to apply online

• Once you click
Create Application
, you will be prompted to type an application name in the text box • The name of your application is for your reference only You can have an application for administrative or finance positions You can also have a general application that can be used for any position you wish to apply for • Once you’ve named your application click on

• • Fill-in and complete the application profile in its entirety Once you have finished entering your information, click
Save & View Application
• Whatever option you choose to be notified of future recruitments will apply to any communication regarding your application(s) and Eligibility Notification(s)
**For Job Interest Cards you will only be notified via email

You can now review the data you input into your application
You will have the choice to:

• To view the application that you just created click on the
Main Menu
tab • You will now see a table that details the
Applications You’ve Created
• This table will detail the name of your application(s), the date(s) it was created, and allow you the option to

or
Delete
the application • In the
Main Menu
, you will also be able to create another application by clicking the ‘Create Application’ button

• Another way that you can create a User Profile is by going directly to
www.governmentjobs.com
Click on the position title of interest to you, then click the
Apply
link in the job posting, on the right side, right above the Description, Benefits and Supplemental Questions tabs
