Philosophy of SCIS
Sloan Creek Intermediate School will be a bridge between
elementary school and middle school. SCIS will build a solid
foundation for all students so they may thrive and grow to be
productive learners in a safe and age appropriate
environment.

Nuts & Bolts
Our school day will be from 7:45 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
Doors will open at 7:05 for breakfast, the CAT & other waiting areas will be
open at 7:15.
Attendance will be taken 1st period.
Every student will have a locker and learn how to use it.
Students will receive Guidance lessons from the Counselor.
Grade levels will be grouped in close proximity to each
other.
Supply Packets will be available soon and the supplies on the
list will be used.
Nuts & Bolts - Cafeteria
Breakfast – will be served 7:05 – 7:40 daily and a menu will
be sent out each month.
Lunch – menu will be sent out each month

Home Line - Market Fresh Salad Bar offered everyday along with another
entrée
Italian Line – Italian entrée and pizza
Grill Line – variety of sandwiches

5th Grade – 10:58 – 11:28

For Incoming 6th Graders…
Fine Arts Demonstration – Tuesday, April 30th from 9:20 – 11:20.
The purpose of this demonstration is to learn about the orchestra,
band, and choir programs to help students make an informed decision
about their fine arts choice.
Parents are welcome to attend this event.
Walk the Creek – a student tour and lunch at SCIS

Registration
Incoming 5th graders will not have a registration process.
Incoming 6th Graders will receive their Registration paper on
April 30th. It will be DUE to their homeroom teacher by
Friday, May 3, 2013.
