 May 4, 2013 (at DHSHS)
 June 1, 2013

Take the SAT (or ACT) if you plan to attend
a 4-year university after high school


at http://sat.collegeboard.org
When to take SAT Tests
SAT - end of your junior year and/or fall
of your senior year.
 Colleges accept your scores from senior
year for October, November, and
December test dates.

SAT or ACT ???

SAT Reasoning has three
sections—Reading, Math,
and Essay.

ACT has five sections-English, Math, Reading,
Science, and an optional
Writing test.

Either choice, plan to spend
about 5 hours on a Saturday
morning to take the tests.

Register for the ACT at
www.actstudent.org
 You will need a copy of your transcript
when you are registering so you can fill
in all of the classes and grades you have
completed during high school.
 Choose which colleges to receive your
score reports when you register.

Fee Waivers
Fee waivers are available if you are on
Free & Reduced Lunch Program at
DHSHS.
 See your counselor to request a fee
waiver, and to register for the SAT or the
ACT.

College Placement Exams

When registering for
the SAT or ACT, be
sure you have your
test scores sent to
4-year colleges
where you apply for
admission


Career colleges
have their own
placement tests
