Objectives for 2006–2015 of the Working
Group on New TB Diagnostics:
• address existing gaps in knowledge that are
obstructing development of new diagnostic
tools
• develop and evaluate a portfolio of new
diagnostic tools and demonstrate their
impact
• implement new diagnostic tools and ensure
access to them
