Elektrip Improving Denver Community
Denver, CO – April 1st, 2010 – The newly created company, Elektrip®, in
conjunction with Denver Recycle Bicycles, announced they will be teaming up
to get more bikes to disadvantaged individuals of Denver. Elektrip® will be
obtaining gently used bikes of all sizes through an incentive program at their
store. These bikes will then be repaired and refurbished. Once the
restoration is complete, they will be given to a disadvantaged individual in the
Denver community. Donations are always accepted, and there will be a
waitlist for those who would like to receive a bicycle.
Elektrip® will continue to provide bikes to those in need throughout the year.
In conjunction with fellow sponsors, Elektrip® will improve the Denver
community by providing bicycles for the less fortunate.

ELEKTRIP ANNOUNCES LECTURE ON SUSTAINABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY
Denver, CO – June 15, 2010 - Elektrip® in conjunction with the Denver Museum of Nature &
Science announced an upcoming lecture on Sustainable Energy Technology today. The lecture will
be held on July 1st in the Ricketson Auditorium at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science from 79:30pm. Admission is free but reservations are recommended.
“There is a great deal that can be done to reduce the energy requirements of Denver’s
workforce, and improvements in transportation technology could lead the way,” said Jan
Tschichold, lead engineer at Elektrip®. Jan Tschichold will lecture on the development of energy
efficient transportation and the effect this will have on sustainable energy technology.
One lucky lecture attendee will go home with a brand new Second WindTM Elektrip® commuter
bicycle. A 700 Watt, silent hub propulsion system with quick charge Lithium Ion Batteries, powers
the Second Windtm bike. The bicycles have light carbon fiber frames (the bike weighs in at thirtyfive lbs unloaded), run flat tires, and disc brakes. This makes them ideal for any local commuter
wishing to reduce their energy usage.
After the lecture all attendees and museum patrons will be encouraged to try the bicycle for
themselves. Elektrip® staff will be stationed in a booth outside the museum’s front entrance to
talk about Elektrip®’s efforts to reduce Denver’s reliance on fossil fuels. They will also give
lessons on how the bicycles operate and road safety tips.

ELEKTRIP ANNOUNCES DONATIONS OF ELECTRIC BICYCLES TO EMTS
Denver, CO – July 15, 2010 - Elektrip® will donate five Second WindTM bikes to Denver EMS at the Urban
Assault Ride. EMS workers will use these bikes during the event to rush to the aid of any riders or
spectators in crowded areas that are difficult to get an ambulance.
Notified of the donation by Elektrip®, EMS worker Dennis Schlep said; “Yeah, these bikes could really
take a lot of the work out of responding to emergencies. We would be able to get there quickly and we
wouldn’t be tired when we arrive, that way we would have more energy to provide care. These bikes
can make a big difference.”
“We at Elektrip® support our EMTs whole-heartedly,” said Jeff Erickson, head of Public Relations at
Elektrip®. “Denver has the finest EMTs in the nation that are there whenever we need them three
hundred and sixty-five days a year. We thought it was time for Elektrip to show our support for them by
giving them these bikes. After all they do for us; this is the least we could do.”
The Elektrip® Second WindTM bicycle is powered by a 700 Watt, silent hub propulsion system with quick
charge Lithium Ion Batteries and each bike will have two for extended range. The bikes have light carbon
fiber frames (the bike weighs in at thirty-five lbs unloaded), run flat tires, and disc brakes. “These bikes
will allow Denver EMTs to get through crowds to help injured people at this and other crowded events
and unlike riding a traditional bike, the Elektrip® Second WindTM bike will do the pedaling for them
leaving them with energy to help people,” said Erickson. “Other EMTs may even call them Cheaters™.”
