Peace
There is such thing as discrimination,
It is happening across the nation.
Thank God for Rosa Parks,
She put together the lights and the darks.
Treat everyone the same,
That’s how Martin rose to fame.
Accepting differences one and all,
Brown, white, tan, big and small.
~Elena Escobar
Peace
If there was peace on earth, there would be no
suffering.
Like the villages in Africa, how they are troubling.
I wish we could help, more than we are,
By giving people animals, who live away so far.
These animals will give nourishment,
Food, wealth and more
So they could live a better life,
This we can’t ignore.

Peace
Peace means a better world.
A world of helping your neighbors.
Where children can go to school
And don’t have to do manual labor.
Peace means all people are equal.
A world where everyone can cope.
Where people give, not steal…
A world that isn’t without hope
~Marielle Franco

Peace
We need Peace!
We need it now!
Come on people!
Let’s think how!
Can’t you hear them
Plead for peace?
Won’t you listen?
And let conflicts cease?
By Kaylee Ford

When you go into an impoverished city,
Things aren’t always pretty.
Homeless people on the street,
Rags for clothes and no shoes on their feet.
Hungry tummies make babies wail.
Given some time, peace will prevail.
By Brandon Charron
PEACE
When Iraq and America shake hands,
There will be peace on Earth.
Just like a new world being born,
a new beginning, a rebirth.
By Jake Reynolds
Who is Peace?
Peace Corps volunteers are sent,
To save an impoverished city.
If no one goes, things can get worse,
And nothing turns out pretty.
Water and health issues,
Cause struggles to survive.
We care for those who carry disease,
And know they may not survive.
Dedication from Peace Corps volunteers,
Help those most in need.
For all of their heartfelt effort,
We thank them… Godspeed.

WATCH OUT VILLAGERS!!
By Kayla Underkoffler
Take a look and you will see
What lives in your water,
It’s the creepy crawly.
Grab your gloves and goggles too,
Cause soon you’ll be saying “Ewwww!”
Germs, bacteria, fungi ,goo.
Take a taste
It’s unfortunate but true,
You’ll get symptoms like the flu.
So be careful what you do.
Water
A health hazard
Washing hands all the time
Relieved to be parasite free
Poison
By: Scott Dixon
WHERE IS PEACE?
We fight for it
But never get it.
It seems to be hiding
Except in plain sight.
But if we work hard
To be tolerant and
Understanding of people,
Peace will come out.
Peace is everywhere.

The Water in Africa
By Emily Whaley
The water in Africa has microscopic germs.
These parasites appear as little worms.
Often they live in Africa’s waters,
Infecting mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters.
Peace Corps volunteers devote their time.
They help villagers and in the meantime,
They’re teaching how to keep drinking water clean
And washing hands for good hygiene.
Human Rights
Treat others equally
Don’t be mean
Always respect others’ rights
Fair to all!

PEACE
We’re hoping for peace,
But first we must stop the war.
Everyone is working hard,
Like Dahli Llama and so many more.
Devoted individuals like
Volunteers of the Peace Corps,
Who are sent to distant countries
With hardships we can’t ignore.
By Chloe Richardson
Peace
Peace is a wave
Lapping at your toes.
Peace is a gentle voice,
singing you a lullaby
as you go to sleep.

Peace
We need peace
on Earth.
We need
love
too.
Once war ends,
we
will have
both.

Peace
Peace on earth is what we want.
It may even stop the war.
Thousands of people wouldn’t die,
earth would be better than before.
Peace on earth is what we want.
This world could be a calmer place.
If there was just peace on earth,
there would be a smile on everyone's face.

Ashley Dowd
Peace
We are dreaming of peace
Dreaming of peace on Earth
As soon as war will cease

Peace
Peace is needed for the world to relax,
lose the stress and just chillax.
Make the world shine from ground to space.
Make someone happy, put a smile on their face.
Slow down your daily pace
and don’t let peace go to waste.
When the day is done, another will start
and peace will come once more to warm the heart.

Peace Is Many Different Things
Peace is nice,
Peace is sweet,
Peace
is what
we
need.
Peace is cool,
Peace is love,
Peace is joy,
Peace is tranquility,
Peace is
joyous.

Peace?
Why does peace seem temporary?
It matters not the cause of strife.
For many people go off
to fight
and many more
lose their life.
Why does anger lead to war?
When peace
is granted,
why
are weapons readied
soon after?
“Where is peace?” are what people are asking.
Even after trying so hard,
we have
to ask
ourselves,
Can there truly
be
peace?

Neutrality
Monks worship it
Our soldiers fight for it
Around the world, countries can’t wait for it.

Peace
There are wars and loss of homes
because there is little peace.
It’s all a violent blur
and many people aren’t helping in the least.
Villages with little food and water
and children whose empty bellies make them sad.
Too many diseases cursed on everyone
It all makes me very mad.
Let’s try to make everybody help.
Let’s try to make everybody care.
To make peace on earth,
that’s what I declare.
