Employer engagement. Promote the sector. Provide flexible, relevant training. Share best practice 15 December 2005 CoVE Objectives Young People Address the issues which discourage young people from following a career in our industry. Highlight the many diverse careers we can offer. Promote our industry proactively in schools through better communication allowing young people the chance to make a more informed choice of career paths. Establish viable progression pathways. 15 December 2005 CoVE Objectives Employers Show a willingness to listen and understand employer wants & needs. Deliver a high-level of responsiveness and service. Offer a can-do attitude. Provide the customer with quality training with flexibility in delivery. Give the required information/guidance, which is simple and straight to the point (No jargon). Break down the barriers to complicated funding models. 15 December 2005 CoVE Objectives Providers We need to change the way we offer and deliver training. We need to become more innovative and responsive to employers needs. We need to offer the flexibility to deliver quality training where and when it’s needed.
