ROLES/FUNCTIONS
The Competent Authority is the official link between
ZRA and other tax administrations. He receives all the
requests for information from requesting party/s.
He passes on the request to his Authorised
representative/s who will then pass on the request to
the Head of Policy and Legislation Unit (P & L).
The Head of P & L Unit enters the request for
information in a manual register.

ROLES/FUNCTIONS
The P & L Unit then provides the information if
it is within their possession or requests for the
information from the respective audit units or
organisations.
The P & L Unit then verifies the information
from the audit units or other organisations to
see that it is in line with the request and in
accordance with the tax treaty provisions.

ROLES/FUNCTIONS
After the verification, the information is
compiled and submitted to the Authorized
representative for approval and onward
submission to the competent authority.
The Competent Authority sends the
information to the requesting party
