 Utilized to build, repair tissues, and for
production of enzymes and hormones
 Proteins make it possible for blood to carry
oxygen throughout our body
 Lack of protein can cause loss of muscle
mass, decreased immunity, and weakening
of heart and respiratory system

– 75 grams of protein
and 1,200 calories per

– 125 grams of protein
and 1,800 calories a
