Advice for Parents
1) Make sure your son gets off to a good academic start
– Skyward, Coaching Staff Support.
2) Encourage your son to be a multi sport athlete as
long as possible.
3) Encourage your son to “hang in there” with football
– understand the process – “A”, “B”, JV Team.
4) Prepare your son for the path, not the path for your
son.
5) Love your son, don’t fall in love with him.
6) Release your son to athletics, let us coach them

BMFO
If you could speak to every boy in the world-let’s just pretend
you could wipe out anything they’ve already seen or heard
from their fathers or anybody else-how would you explain
your own definition of what it means to be a man?”
• It’s about relationships and a cause,” Joe said. “Simple as that.
What’s a man created to do? He’s created to be a son, a father,
a husband, a brother, and so on. So I’m going to measure my
masculinity- and it’s really about my humanity- based on how
successful I am as a husband. If I blow it there, or if I blow it
as a dad, nothing else really matters. All the power and
prestige and possessions in the world will never make up for
failed relationships.
-From the book “Season of Life” which will be read to all players
who come through the White Bear Lake football program.
