EndNote vs EndNote Web
Features
EndNote
EndNote Web
Advantages
Work on references and cite
independently of Web 
shorter processing time
Web-based longer processing
& connection time
Full installation on
computer. No expiry date
Account expires after you leave
NUS
Unlimited no. of references
Max. 10,000 references
Store full-text (e.g. PDF,
sound files)
Unable to store full-text
References stored on local
computer. Need to save and
move references to another
computer
Need internet access
Disadvantages
4
Citations and Bibliography
• Two places to cite the references you have used:
• within a sentence (in-text citation)
• at the end of the document (bibliography/references)
In-text Citation
Herring and Paolillo (2006) found that the genre of a web
entry—rather than the gender of the writer—affects the style of
writing.
Bibliography/References

in weblogs. Journal of Sociolinguistics, 10(4), 439-459.
