• Based on national standards and guidelines,
and past experience
• Requires early review of design by DEHS
• Requirements or checklists included as
appendices
Research Safety Program Procedure
• Research Safety Officer (RSO) must be
appointed
• Lists specific responsibilities for RSOs
• Describes procedures for non-compliance
