Rules and Regulations:
1. Only postgraduates and undergraduates from Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of
Information Technology and Computer Sciences of University of Malaya are eligible to apply.
2. The essay must not be more than 1000 words. Applicants are allowed to use charts, graphs and tables in their
essays to describe their points.
3. Applications must be submitted either by softcopy (Microsoft Word) or hardcopy.
4. Applications will be short listed and called for an interview. Short listed candidates will be called within 3 days of
the contest’s deadline.
5. Only ONE WINNER will be chosen. The prize cannot be exchange for cash.
6. The winner must be willing to travel on a short notice at a specified date.
7. All travel arrangements will be made by the organizer.
8. The winner is required to present his/her experience in the 4th Malaysian International Seminar on Antarctic
(MISA4) which will be held on 1-4 April 2009.
9. The organiser has the right to use, alter, publish and advertise the work that has been submitted.
10.In the event where the actual winner is not willing to travel or barred from travelling outside of Malaysia on any
cause, the organiser has the power to choose the second best candidate to participate in the expedition.
11.The Organizers’ decisions will be final.
