BC Aboriginal
Workforce Strategy
Program Design
The BCAWS is designed to:
1.
Identify real and pertinent information about a
company’s employment and economic
opportunities and to share this information with
Aboriginal Employment, Training, Education and
business interest organizations in order that they
will become more aware of the career,
procurement and training opportunities within
our partner companies.
2.
Build the capacity of our partner companies to
effectively recruit and engage the aboriginal
community by playing a facilitative role to link
our partner companies with the Aboriginal
community so that they may develop strategies
and action plans for working together to
increase aboriginal workforce participation.
