The nulla nulla was made with timber and you carved
it into the shape. Some nulla nullas had a stone head
attached. They were about 1 metre in length.
The nulla nulla is used by holding it in one of your
hands then bashing the animal or person over the
head to knock it out or kill it
The nulla nulla has changed over time new heads have
been made some nulla nullas now have a flat heads or
heads made just to kill the animal.
Yes there were a few different designs I only know of
one which is the knob headed design.
Aboriginal people used them in battle. There is such
thing of when there was a battle between two tribs
they would select a person to get rid of all there
wepons except a shield and a nulla nulla.
By most of my information it was not the most
important tool for traditional people but it was a great
battle tool.
Some people still use them today but only in certain
places. There are no places that I know of that are
around our area.
Did you know that there were designs on some of the
nulla nulla that had the emu and kangaroo. Aborigines
burnt a line in the head of the nulla nulla.
The sites we went on were Wikipedia and indigenous
Australians. They gave us all the information.
