Here’s who we are, …
Eolis Media Company has been founded in early 2002 to serve the
growing needs in horizontal and vertical expert consultancy
especially of the media industry in Luxembourg … and beyond. It
advises clients ranging from the very large, like RTL Group’s
Luxembourg entities to the very small, such as start-ups in the
audiovisual production, format development and integrated
marketing sector. Its range of services includes management
consulting, project management, business development, corporate,
legal and related services and assistance primarily in the fields of
media, telecommunications, new technologies and production

network of its founder, Mr Jean-Philippe Boever (40), who, holds
a law degree from the University of Brussels, Belgium and a postgraduate in European economics from the “Europa-Insttitut” at the
University of Saarland, Germany.

The Company, through its cooperation with Balmoral Ventures [see “Partners” section], is increasingly active
the private equity market, advising and assisting management teams as well as individual
managers engaged in MBOs and MBIs in media and non-media related sectors.
While anchored in Luxembourg, the Company clearly develops an
international positioning, advising clients not only in Luxembourg but also in
France, Germany and Belgium and covering assignments, which are unrelated to
the media industry as such.
Mr Boever is regularly solicited by the University of Luxembourg to
lecture on IT law and Electronic Commerce. In the educational field,
Eolis Media Company has successfully developed from scratch for
one of its public sector clients the Luxembourg module of an
international Executive MBA programme chaired by the Media and
Communications Management Institute of the University of St. Gallen,
Switzerland.
Beyond these assignments, the Company has managed to maintain an ancillary foothold in
the “brick and mortar” industry sector. While at Guardian Industries’ European headquarters,
Mr Boever, in charge of business development, extensively travelled Eastern Europe and
was among others responsible for the handling of the Group’s positions in industrial antidumping matters at the European Union level. He ran a site search and acquisition process
and secured German and EU subsidy funding for a 125 million € greenfield industrial
investment in Eastern Germany. More recently, Eolis Media has assisted Guardian in
defining its Kyoto Greenhouse Gas reduction policy.
