The purpose of the CD…
Risk of harm is a central concern to many agencies.
Public protection is a core aim of The Scottish Prison Service,
Local Authorities, Criminal Justice Social Work and Scottish
Police Forces, and recent legislation has required other
agencies also to co-operate in the management of risk.
This CD provides a set of resources designed to help you
develop your knowledge and skill, and to increase your
competence and confidence with this difficult area of work. It is
primarily offered as a management tool to enable first-line
managers to develop their teams progressively.
