Safety wear
Personal Protective Equipment or PPE is designed to
protect employees from injuries resulting from contact
with chemicals, electrical equipment, mechanical
equipment or other work place hazards. Examples of
PPE include safety goggles, hard hats, work boots and
gloves.
Apart from PPE requirements for a job,
employees must remember to inspect the
equipment before use and to replace worn out
equipment.
Get proper training!
Make sure you get proper training on how to
use the equipment. If you’re facing problems,
inform your supervisor or manager about it!
You need to know..
• how to use PPE properly
• when PPE is necessary
• what kind of PPE is necessary
• the limitations of the protective gear in use
• that PPE should be worn at all times during a job
requiring PPE
• that PPE should be checked and kept clean
on a regular basis
Safety equipment is made
for a reason
Choosing the right PPE is the first step towards
ensuring your safety, but that’s not all. You have
to maintain it as well!!
You should also find out the
hazards of your job, including the

muffs should be cleaned on a regular basis.

Protect your helpers-your hands!
Protect your hands from injuries!
1. Use the right gloves for the job you
are performing.
2. Make sure your gloves are in good shape
and not ripped or torn.
