Come fill our hearts, Holy Spirit, We have sinned against you, Please make us anew, Forgive us and heal us and save us, Lord have mercy.

Lord, have mercy Lord, have mercy

Turn from your sin and be forgiven

Take a card and place it at the foot of the cross which is able to bear the weight and the wounding for us

How deep the Father's love for us, How vast beyond all measure, That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure.

How great the pain of searing loss – The Father turns His face away, As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory.

Behold the man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders; Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers.

It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life – I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything, No gifts, no power, no wisdom; But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection.

Why should I gain from His reward?

I cannot give an answer; But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom.

You are forgiven!

We believe in a God of second chances. We rely on forgiveness and grace promised us by Jesus. May we come and sit at the table of Christ as new creations, washed and cleansed as forgiven people. Amen

Glory, glory, Glory in the highest, Glory, Glory, Glory in the highest Peace to all on earth!

What are the big issues for you in the world and closer to home?

Please create a Creed/“manifesto” for today!

What are the big issues for you in the world and closer to home?

Write on your tear something in the world or closer to home which makes you weep

Offer your big issue to God

Place your tears in the bowl of water at the front “My groaning has worn me out.

At night my bed and pillow are soaked with tears” Psalm 6, v 6

These are my tears Tears of compassion Tears of disbelief Tears of horror Tears of bewilderment

You have gathered these tears in your bowl and counted each one

These are their tears Tears of desolation Tears of loss Tears of shock Tears of anguish

You have gathered these tears in your bowl and counted each one

These are your tears A father’s tears A mother’s tears Shared tears Tears of love

You have gathered these tears in your bowl and counted each one

We come as we are full of doubts and questions – so much that doesn’t make sense. So much that hurts us, dismays us, makes us cry: earthquakes, famines, incurable disease, hurricanes, floods, unbearable pain. We cry to you, O God. Hear our prayers. Amen.

Christ is our Peace. When we share the peace, we meet the broken Christ in each other, and the broken world which Christ longs to heal.

The Peace of the Lord be always with you.

The Kiss of Life

King of kings, majesty God of heaven living in me, Gentle Saviour closest friend, Strong deliverer, Beginning and End, All within me falls at your throne.

Your majesty, I can but bow.

I lay my all before you now.

In royal robes I don’t deserve I live to serve your majesty.

Earth and heaven worship you, Love eternal, faithful and true, Who bought the nations, ransomed souls, Brought this sinner near to your throne; All within me cries out in praise

Blessed are you Lord God of all creation. Giver of all that is good. Your Spirit, continues to renew the earth. Through your goodness we have this bread to offer which earth has given and human hands have made.

Blessed be God for ever

Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation. Giver of all that is good. Your Spirit, continues to renew the earth. Through your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human hands. It will become our spiritual drink.

Blessed be God for ever

The Lord is here

His Spirit is with us

Lift up your hearts

We lift them to the Lord

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God

It is right to give God thanks and praise

Father, we thank you, for your Son, Jesus, our Saviour, the one born to die.

Born of the Spirit that we might live, reborn that we might rise .

Father, we thank you, that you have called us together, to praise your name, with all the angels, saints and powers, in one unending song.

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power, God of Might, Heaven and earth are, full of your glory!

Hosanna in the highest!

On the night, He was betrayed, Jesus had supper with his friends.

He took bread and wine, thanked you and prayed, called down the breath of life.

This is my body broken for you, bringing you wholeness, making you free.

Take it and eat it, and when you do, do it in love of me.

This is my blood poured out for you, bringing forgiveness, making you free.

Take it and drink it, and when you do, do it in love for me.

Back to my Father soon I shall go.

Do not forget me; then you will see I am still with you, and you will know you’re very close to me.

Filled with my Spirit, how you will grow!

You are my branches; I am the tree.

If you are faithful, others will know you are alive in me.

Love one another - I have loved you, and I have shown you how to be free; serve one another, and when you do, do it in love for me.

Bread is his Body, Amen.

Wine is his Blood, Amen.

His Blood to wash us, His Body to feed.

Amen, Amen, Amen.

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name Your kingdom come Your will be done on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.

We break this bread to share in the body of Christ

Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in the one bread.

Refrain:

Ubi Caritas est vera, est vera: Deus ibi est, Deus ibi est.

Guard and defend me from the foe malign; in death's dread moments make me only thine; Call me and bid me come to thee on high, when I may praise thee with thy saints for aye.

Loving God, we thank you for your generosity in feeding us.

We thank you that in bread and wine broken for us we are made whole.

As you have fed us, help us to feed your hungry world, help us not to forget the Big Issues which concern you, so that the whole world may be brought into your loving care, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Longing for light, we wait in darkness.

Longing for truth, we turn to you.

Make us your own, your holy people, Light for the world to see.

Christ be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness.

Christ be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

Longing for peace, our world is troubled.

Longing for hope, many despair.

Your word alone has power to save us.

Make us your living voice.

Christ be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness.

Christ be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

Longing for food, many are hungry.

Longing for water, many still thirst.

Make us your bread, broken for others, Shared until all are fed.

Christ be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness.

Christ be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

Longing for shelter, many are homeless.

Longing for warmth, many are cold.

Make us your building sheltering others, Walls made of living stone.

Christ be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness.

Christ be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

Many the gifts, many the people, Many the hearts that yearn to belong.

Let us be servants to one another, Making your kingdom come.

Christ be our light! Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness.

Christ be our light! Shine in your church gathered today.

May the peace of God which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God and of his Son Jesus Christ.

And the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always.

Amen.

Go in peace to Love and serve the Lord.

OVER ALL THE EARTH, You reign on high, Every mountain stream, Every sunset sky.

But my one request, Lord, my only aim Is that You’d reign in me again.

Lord, reign in me, Reign in Your power; Over all my dreams, In my darkest hour.

You are the Lord of all I am, So won’t You reign in me again?

Over every thought, Over every word, May my life reflect the beauty of my Lord; ‘Cause You mean more to me Than any earthly thing, So won’t You reign in me again?
